Your Duty to provide legal analysis

CaseDriver Role and Attorney Role

Your legal expertise is central to every case handled by CaseDriver.  Without your knowledge and counsel, your clients would not succeed in bankruptcy.  


CaseDriver cannot provide legal counsel or give legal advice to your clients.  Therefore, the entire CaseDriver Paralegal process requires your continued attention to your cases from beginning to end.  CaseDriver makes this easy for you.


As your clients present legal issues that require your counsel, we will create Legal Analysis Tasks.  If the tasks are urgent, you may also receive email reminders giving you instructions as well.  


Until you complete these tasks, your cases needing your legal counsel cannot move forward.  

Legal Analysis Tasks

  1. Log into CaseDriver at least every other day.  Look at the Legal Analysis Panel.
  2. Click on the "OPEN" link for each case in Legal Analysis or Approve Filing status. 
  3. Go to the Tasks Tab in that case and look to the bottom of page to see the list of tasks on that case.
  4. Look for the Legal Analysis task.  Read the Description to learn the legal issue.
  5. You may need to talk to your client or research documents before completing the task.
  6. After you've formulated your legal advice, click on the Pencil icon on the right of the task row.
  7. In the Resolution box, type in the advice you gave the client and the direction you want to give to the CaseDriver paralegal.
  8. Look to the Status column on the left and click on the dropdown to change the status of the task from Pending to Complete.
  9. Click on the calendar icon under the Date Complete column to enter the date you completed the task.
  10. Click on the blue Update button on the right to finalize completion of the task.

Legal Analysis Email Reminders

  1. For urgent Legal Analysis matters, the CaseDriver staff will move the case into Legal Analysis Needed status.
  2. If you have any case in this status, you will receive an email every other morning from CaseDriver.
  3. Your case is on hold and not progressing while it is in this status.
  4. The steps below are the same that you will find in the email.
  5. Log into CaseDriver
  6. Look to the Legal Analysis Panel on the Dashboard.
  7. Open each case with outstanding Legal Analysis tasks assigned.
  8. Follow the instruction above in the Legal Analysis Tasks section of this page.  You must resolve the matter and clear the task.
  9. IMPORTANT:  After completing the task, CHANGE the status of the case to Legal Analysis Completed.
  10. All cases in Legal Analysis Completed status will prompt an email to be sent every day to the Case Manager reminding them to move the case forward using the legal counsel you've provided.
